How to play Monster Trail

The race objective

Cross the quarry before time runs out. Your truck races a gold computer rival through four routes with ramps, gullies and fragile timber bridges. A finish unlocks the next route from the results screen. First place and a gold time are separate goals.

Keyboard and mobile controls

Press Play in the centre or hold W / ↑ to start. Brake with S / ↓. Use A/D or ←/→ to tilt the truck in the air. Hold brake at low speed to reverse. Use Gas, Brake and the arrows on a phone. P or the pause button pauses the clock.

Points, credits and coins

A finish earns 800 base points plus 180 per difficulty step. Beat the gold time for 50 points per second saved. Win the duel for another 180. Each 50 points earn 1 CR. Credits are your spending balance. Points count toward the ranking and eligible finishes with 10 active seconds can also earn portal coins.

What to upgrade between races

The results show credits earned and the current balance. Buy a part or switch cars there before repeating or moving to the next level. Each part costs 35, 60 and 85 CR across its three levels. Paint is free. Engine increases speed. Larger tyres add clearance and suspension helps the truck tolerate rough landings. Dune Raid costs 75 CR and Atlas Dakar costs 140 CR.

Driving tips

Build speed on the approach to a gap, then line up the wheels with the landing. Cross timber bridges without stopping. If you lose time on a climb, spend on power. If landings end your attempts, upgrade the suspension first.
